Robotic learning is essential if we want to deploy it in industry and in our societies. A project like this will help participants (students, parents or teachers) to understand and appreciate how robotics can be useful in their lives.

The use of robots at school will increase student motivation. They are scalable, innovative and creative educational tools that allow students to use digital technology as an enjoyable way to solve the problems they face. The multidisciplinary approach of robotics also makes the involvement and expression of all easier. Thus, students will be able to increase their knowledge and develop their curiosity as well as their communication skills. Students will also improve their science skills.

Como cierre al proyecto ERASMUS+ sobre Robótica educativa alumnos/as de Bachillerato, coordinados por Angel Cuesta, han realizado un homenaje al robot icónico MAZINGER Z construyendo una réplica a escala que estos días está siendo expuesto en el hall del centro junto al ERASMUS+ corner.

The virtual meeting organized by the Czech Republic was held the week of November 29 to December 3. Students from 3rd ESO and 4thESO have participated in this meeting carrying out the different activities planned.

Escape Rooms have been carried out both about the country and the region of the host center and about the writer of the first novel (a play) about robots, Karel Capek in 1920. In addition, different groups of students performed different parts of Act 3 of the play.

Finally, on Friday we celebrated a day in which the students cooked different recipes of typical Czech dishes and we were able to share a Christmas table with all the cooked food.

It has been a great experience for both students and teachers participating in which, in addition to practicing English, they have prepared teamwork, exchanged experiences with students from other countries and learned about different cultural and social aspects of the other participating European countries.

 

La semana del 29 de noviembre al 3 de diciembre se ha celebrado la reunión virtual organizada por la República Checa. En esta reunión han participado estudiantes de 3º ESO y 4ºESO llevando a cabo las diferentes actividades planteadas.

Se han realizado Escape Rooms tanto sobre el país y la región del centro anfitrión como sobre el escritor de la primera novela (una obra teatral) sobre robots, Karel Capek en 1920. Además los diferentes grupos de estudiantes representaron diferentes partes del acto 3 de dicha función.

Por último, el viernes celebramos una jornada en la que el alumnado cocinó diferentes recetas de platos típicos checos y pudimos compartir una mesa navideña con todo lo cocinado.

Ha supuesto una estupenda experiencia tanto para alumnado como docentes participantes en la que además de practicar inglés, han preparado trabajos en equipo, intercambiado experiencias con estudiantes de otros países y conocido diferentes aspectos culturales y sociales de los otros países europeos participantes.

On November 9, 10 and 11, the XIII Technology Conference was held at the IES La Albericia, in collaboration with the CEP of Santander, chaired by the Regional Minister of Education and the General Director of Educational Innovation, among other speakers.

In this conference, a presentation on ERASMUS+ and Etwinning projects that are currently being carried out in the center as well as dissemination of the different types of projects that can be carried out, funding, application and management of them.

Los días 9, 10 y 11 de noviembre se han celebrado en el IES La Albericia, en colaboración con el CEP de Santander, las XIII Jornadas de Tecnología presididas por la Consejera de Educación y la Directora General de Innovación educativa entre otros ponentes.

En estas jornadas se realizó una ponencia sobre los proyectos ERASMUS+ y Etwinning que actualmente se están llevando a cabo en el centro así como difusión de los diferentes tipos de proyectos que se pueden llevar a cabo, financiación, solicitud y gestión de los mismos.

Last week, from October 11 to 15, 2021, we held the virtual meeting that corresponded to the trip of the rest of the partners to Spain. Due to the health situation we have not yet been able to hold the meeting in person so we have developed different online activities with the students.


Among the most outstanding activities were the realization by the students of an Escape Room about our city. Videos of the most attractive areas of the city have been recorded and students from other countries have to complete questions and riddles about each of the chosen places.

On the other hand, creative activities have also been carried out such as the development of an advertisement to sell a room service robot and on the last day a competition was held by programming drones in which they had to overcome different tests.


In short, a very active week with many students involved both in the planning of the activities and in their development.

Many thanks to all the participating countries and to the teachers and students who have been actively involved in this meeting.

La pasada semana del 11 al 15 de octubre de 2021 hemos celebrado la reunión virtual que correspondía al viaje del resto de socios a España. Debido a la situación sanitaria aún no hemos podido realizar el encuentro en persona por lo que se han desarrollado diferentes actividades online con el alumnado.

Entre las actividades más destacadas están la realización por parte de los alumnos de un Escape Room sobre nuestra ciudad. Se han grabado videos de las zonas más atractivas de la ciudad y los alumnos de los otros paises han de ir completando preguntas y adivinanzas sobre cada uno de los lugares escogidos.

Por otro lado también se han llevado a cabo actividades creativas como el desarrollo de un anuncio publicitario para vender un robot de servicio de habitaciones y el último día se celebró una competición mediante la programación de drones en la que se debían ir superando diferentes pruebas.

En definitiva una semana muy activa con numerosos alumnos implicados tanto en la planificación de las actividades como en su desarrollo.

Muchas gracias a todos los paises participantes y a los profesores y alumnos que se han implicado activamente en este encuentro.

This week we had a new virtual meeting within the ERASMUS+ Project on Robotics.
This time we had to travel to La Force in France but unfortunately, for the moment, we still have the restriction for international trips with students so we decided to celebrate it virtually with daily online connections with all the participating countries, contests, didactic and playful activities.

The topic that has been worked during this week has been mainly the applications of robots in the industry of our region where the students have presented their work in this regard to the other countries and then participated in a contest with questions about the presentations. Students from each country also had to overcome programming challenges with LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robots.
On the other hand, an eco-robot design contest was held where each country presented a robot design with its functionalities, sensors, etc., which was won by the Spanish team by unanimous vote. Congratulations!
To close the events of this week we have done a cooking activity where students have cooked a cake and cupcakes typical of France.

Although we had a good time, we hope that the next meetings that remain within the project can be held in person because the interactions between students are an important part of the spirit of these projects and where they enjoy the experience more.

Esta semana hemos tenido un nuevo encuentro virtual dentro del Proyecto ERASMUS+ sobre Robótica.
Esta vez tocaba viajar a La Force en Francia pero lamentablemente de momento seguimos con la restricción para viajes internacionales con alumnos así que decidimos celebrarla de forma virtual con conexiones online diarias con todos los países participantes, concursos, actividades didácticas y lúdicas.

El tema que se ha trabajado durante esta semana ha sido fundamentalmente las aplicaciones de robots en la industria de nuestra Región donde los alumnos han presentado sus trabajos al respecto a los otros países y después han participado en un concurso con preguntas sobre las presentaciones. También los alumnos de cada país han tenido que superar unos retos de programación con los robots LEGO Mindstorms EV3.
Por otro lado, se ha llevado un cabo un concurso de diseño de eco-robots donde cada país presentaba un diseño de robot con sus funcionalidades, sensores, etc el cual fue ganado por el equipo español por unanimidad de votos. Enhorabuena!!
Para cerrar los eventos de esta semana se ha realizado una actividad de cocina donde los alumnos han cocinado una tarta y magdalenas típicas de Francia.

Aunque hemos pasado buenos ratos, esperamos que los próximos encuentros que quedan dentro del proyecto se puedan realizar presencialmente ya que las interacciones entre los alumnos son parte importante del espíritu de estos proyectos y en donde ellos disfrutan más de la experiencia.

On september 23 and 24, our school celebrates the day of the languages. Each student has selected a european country and prepared a poster, including typical words and expresions and beautiful places to visit.

Since international travel is currently not possible due to the pandemic situation, it was decided to hold the Poland meeting virtually. Each country has worked on the different workshops in its center sharing the results through live demonstrations and Power Point presentations of the work to the rest of the countries online. Also the Polish team made for us a virtual visit to its center and city main spots.

These days we have held educational robotics workshops, elaboration of a robot costume on a human scale, sewing workshop and cooking workshops where students have made typical Polish sweets.

Despite the circumstances we had a great time, learning new skills and sharing with the rest of the countries all the work done.

Dado que por el momento no se pueden llevar a cabo viajes internacionales debido a la situación de pandemia se ha decidido realizar la reunión de Polonia de forma virtual. Cada país ha trabajado en los diferentes talleres en su centro compartiendo los resultados mediante demostraciones en vivo y presentaciones de los trabajos al resto de países de forma online. También el equuipo de Polonia ha organizado una visita virtual tanto al centro escolar como a los puntos más relevantes de su ciudad.

Estos días hemos realizado talleres de robótica educativa, elaboración de un disfraz de robot a escala humana, taller de costura y talleres de cocina donde los alumnos han elaborado dulces típicos de Polonia.

A pesar de las circunstancias hemos pasado muy buen rato, aprendiendo nuevas destrezas y compartiendo con el resto de paises todo el trabajo realizado.

On June 16 we celebrated the Erasmus Gala 20-21. Students and teachers have received the certificates of attendance of the virtual meeting in France as well as diplomas for their participation in the various international meetings held so far. They were also given gifts provided by the European office in Cantabria. Besides, we enjoyed the visit of Ana (Serbia) and Anna (Poland), scholarship holders of the European Solidarity Corps, who shared their experiences with us about international volunteering.

El 16 de junio hemos celebrado la Gala Erasmus 20-21. Alumnos y profesores han recibido los certificados de asistencia del encuentro virtual en Francia así como unos diplomas por su participación en los diferentes encuentros internacionales celebrados hasta ahora. Asimismo, se les dieron los regalos aportados por la oficina europea de Cantabria. Además, hemos disfrutado de la visita de Ana (Serbia) y Anna (Polonia), becarias del Cuerpo Europeo de Solidaridad, que han compartido sus experiencias con nosotros sobre el voluntariado internacional.
